| mike kennyboy here a will be around from third march first beer on me mate. hope too see ya in aj read most of your posts and hope to have a party with your goodself and hook up with peter for the first time and do the town proper. |

Since the year 2006, Anna Jet is my first place to go on the day of my arrival in Pattaya...
Well, thatīs not completely true, because I use to arrive in the morning or by afternoon time and as usual I phone call my mate from Munich, who always use to be in Pattaya a few days before me.
Iīll meet up with him, when he returns from the beach, around 4:00 or 5:00pm at one of the other beer bars in Soi 7... probably Minnieīs, Nickīs, Aussie or UK Bar, for one or two beers before dinner.
But later, on my first night out, I will definitely go straight to Anna Jet... with or without my friend.
Nothing will hold me back !
And I definitely will not go anywhere else in my first night !
So, if there wasnīt any delay of my flight and if I didnīt got lost on my way from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya, I will pop up at AJīs between 8:00 and 9:00pm on Monday 09th March 2009 !
You mentioned a jet lag...
Well, I guess in the morning after my first night out, I maybe will have an
"Anna Jet lag"....

| mike that sounds like a plan , a normaly stay in soi six but ma afternoon drinkin is mostly in soi 7 and 8 and across the mian road from anna s is mickys bar which a believe is almost open 24 /7 a remember one morning feeling for hair o dog and a got there at 8a.m. and a was the last one too arrive all ma mates were there an hour before....... have you travelled all over thai or like me ave only done phuket, somet and pattaya value for money and choice pattaya hard too beat though and most my main friends now are pattaya ex pats. that is what happens when you make up your mind this is the place for me if a was a jigsaw the last piece of the puzzle was me going to thai. a love the place. my experences cannot be told to people who have never been they just dont understand. in a way i am glad if it gets to cheap or too buzy with tha usual trash that goes to spain it may change a great deal as for march how long are you staying? |

On my first two trips ( 2004 and 2005 ) I travelled around a little bit, which was nothing compare to my "Indiana Jones" tours in India during the 1990ties.
In 2004 I fell in love with the first Thai girl I met who wasnīt working in any bar... she showed me a little bit of the country... her motherīs place in Sa Kaeo ( near Cambodian border ), her fatherīs place in Phanom Sarakham... we visited Cha Choengsao... Bangkok, of course... all the touristy stuff, incl Ayuthaya...
Personally I prefer the countryside of Thailand... not the islands.
But I became very lazy on my past 4 trips, after my relationship with the girl had failed in 2006... staying in Pattaya and Jomtien all the time... maybe some one-day-trips to touristy places, thatīs all.
After a year of working Saturdays, Sundays and week days, lotīs of overtime hours, I just love it to relax at Jomtien Beach ( in the shadow ), to read a book and to hang around in bars every night...
Iīm going to stay in Pattaya for 4 weeks... from 09th March to 06th April.

good for you mate!!!!! ave never fell in love and probably wont too many sweets in the candy shop as for jotiem a never had a day free too go to the beach but this year a plan to do this as a spent too much time in hotel room recovering when a should have been relaxing at the beach. have you caught the web site thai anxiety it gives a fair view off all thats going on in pattaya pubs, clubs and lets you know what new ect. a got too know 2 german lads in phuket and wee became good friends for a few years but as you know sometimes people move on and they still go to phuket.
have you went to soi six for an afternoon its a bit extreme but most the ex pats have a laugh and thier is a few gems o wee bars that have a great atmoshere but as a seasoned traveler you get to know what you like and thats why a like anna jet its got its own atmoshere and is a little different for many reasons but the girls appear to be genuinly happy working for anna and that leads to an ambience of a good place too be. |

Yup !
I have been in Soi 6... a few trips ago... and I will definitely visit the place again.
But I must confess, that there are things in Pattaya I like and others I donīt like.
Iīm a quiet type of man... some things are fun, others are just some sort of big "Punch and Judy show" for me.
I donīt like to run from one disco or go go bar to the next every night... I just enjoy it two or three times a week.
About the beach... well, itīs just nice... but I wouldnīt go for a swim anymore like I did on my first trip, because the water in Jomtien and at Pattaya Beach is not clean.
