|

I always use to say that everything is fine for me: I had my holidays already and now Iīm back to work... I have a good job, a good monthly income and 30 days holidays a year... plus comp.times ( ...minimum 20 days a year ) caused by overtime work.
Nothing to complain about... beside the fact that there are periods of time in a year when I canīt take days off or holidays.
My recent time in Pattaya was great... and I also had planned the time before Songkran to go on travel.
I began to regret this planning a little bit, when my friend Ringo and his girlfriend arrived at AJīs just three days before I had to travel home.
I know that Ringo always use to come to LOS for Songkran...
But even when I sat in the flight to Frankfurt, it was still o.k. for me... because I had my holidays and I was feeling fine.
But now, back at work, whilst preparing the open air swimming pools for coming summer, I receive SMS texts from a little angel of AJīs almost every day.
I feel flattered and happy, even the texts are simple.
Beside the fact that I know the rules of keeping in touch with a Thai girl who works in a bar, her texts are very moving... and they brought one single thought back into my mind:
"They are celebrating Songkran overthere right now... and I can not be there this time !"
Right now, I regret that I havenīt planned my trip for the same period of time like in the years before.
All this has nothing to do with the girl.
I really hope that she will keep in touch ( ...even I know how all this will end, with regards to the fact that I canīt travel to LOS again so soon ).
But her messages have created one single idea in my mind,- which is about planning my next yearīs trip more carefully,- to be overthere for Songkran 2010 !
I know that many people donīt like to be overthere during the water festival.
But there is always a way to escape from the madness, without hiding in a hotel room.
Iīm not the type of man who is outside 24 hours every day, when the Songkran water war is in the streets.
2 or 3 hours is enough... and the rest of the time I will sit on my deck chair at the swimming pool and read a book.
So, Iīm looking forward to be overthere for Songkran 2010 !
