DuanHi Peter .........Just been looking at the January pics again and I was laughing about your comments about " Duans bum still fascinating you after two years " . We had a similar conversation on this same topic in Nov / Dec and although I have stated that I am trying to focus on work etc until I get to Patts , your pic and this post as got me in the groove ( you have a lot to answer for Peter !!  ) ...................... I am starting to think that I need to investigate Duans butt more closely .............. I am just grateful that you did`nt show a pic of her in her impossibly tight jeans and heels , it must put a smile on your face on a nightly basis .

p.s nice to see Tain back as well as she is a pretty girl with a lovely smile ( will get her in the mood with some drinks , instead of the O J ) then she comes to life in the bar .

Smile - what smile?
It's well known that I hate living here and spending my nights in the bar.
I long for:
snow and freezing rain
girls who give you the finger when you simply glance at them
the sound jeans make when the thighs rub together
Tax and NI
Speeding tickets and points
miserable faces
But, sadly, I have to live here.

Great Peter... I guess you made a lot of people jealous !
But not me, because I can´t imagine myself living overthere all the time.
My life is o.k. like it is, as long as I can travel to LOS one or two times in a year... and there is no better pleasure in life than the pleasant anticipation.

Secondly I agree with Mike , if you are into mongering ( like Jimmy " King butterfly" Mac ) living in Patts will kill ya . My limit is like Mikes , as I could not live life in Patts .....too many women , too much beer . I like my life in damp , cold , miserable , expensive Britain ( sort of ! ) , coming to Pattaya makes me happy and makes me wanna go back home and start working ........... TO PAY FOR MY NEXT JAUNT !!!!! .

Yogi... I guess running a bar in Pattaya like Pete does is completely different from just living overthere.
On my trips I met many so called expats, who just live overthere and do nothing beside enjoying the nightlife.
Those guys look like alcoholics... and after living overthere for years, they begin to hate their life and start to complain everything.
They are not happy !
A bar owner like Pete is different, because he has something to do every day to keep the bar running.
I have a little knowledge about this, because I work at public institutions here in Germany and I know how much work comes along with serving people who come to our places to enjoy their off time.
Even running a bar in LOS might be easier than in Germany, I don´t think that it is always fun for Pete.
He once had a good reason to go to LOS: Anna !
The idea of opening a bar, was the best he could do... for Anna and especially for himself, to keep him busy and to protect him from falling into the deep black hole like most of the expats use to do.
Whenever I think about Peter, I imagine him as a happy and lucky guy, but also a very busy person, because there is so much work to do for the bar which we customers don´t know.
It´s like you see a lifeguard at the swimming pools:
People may think that he is a very lazy person, being on pool patrol... chatting with the guests... it doesn´t looks like real work.
But most people have no knowledge of all the work that has to be done by the same person to keep the pools running.
I can only speak for myself when I say, that I couldn´t do the same like Peter does... But this has nothing to do with Farang-Thai relationships.
It´s more about running a bar... I´m just not the type of man who could be a bar owner.
Therefor, when I say that I imagine Pete as a happy, lucky, but busy person, there is no jealousy at all in my thoughts.
I just admire people like him and Anna... knowing full well that I couldn´t do the same for a living.
I can do other things... and I got what I wanted in life:
Having a good job... being busy as hell sometimes... meeting together with lots of people... earning good money... and going on travel one or two times in a year, to spend my money at AJ´s and other places.
