go figure !!!!

Hi  Guys  .......So  I  have  got   around  to   booking  my  next   jaunt   to   LOS   , but   I  feel   I  must   comment   on   the   confusion   surrounding    buying  a    ticket   from  a    online  travel   agent  .

I  looked   on   wednesday  at   expedias    site   for  a  flight   dated   the   11/03/09   and   returning  on   the   28/03/09 .......the   cheapest   was    Etihad  at   £ 579     and  then  Emirates   at  £ 604 .  I  checked  on  thursday   and    KLM   are   now  the   cheapest  at   £ 489   with   Etihad   and   Emirates    quoted   exactly  the  same .  I   booked   this  at  £ 489 ,   checked   back  the  next  day  ..........   KLM   are   now   £ 732 ,   again  I  checked  the  next  day  its  now  £ 623 (  KLM ) .  I  have   just   checked    again   and    the  price  has   gone  out   to   £ 905  ......................   Yes  I  am   happy  at  my   great   price  from   Amsterdam  ,   but   why    does   the  tickets   fluctuate   so   wildly ,   one   minute   its   a  steal    and  then  next   minute   its   daylight   robbery  !!!! .
  I  have   been  told  by  a  friend  that   airlines   release  tickets   in   batches   to   agents ......which   explains   why   the  price   goes   up   and   down  so   much  ......I  am  just   glad   that   I  got  mine   when  I  did   as   I  now   have   1.20  hours  to   Amsterdam  and    10.30  to  Bkk  ........sweet  eh   Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  .

Jim ,   I  am  somewhat   confused   about  the   situation  regarding   putting   images   on  the  AJ  site .  I  have   done  this  before ,  but   I  loaded   it  up  direct   from   my  own  p.c ,  now   from  what  you  are   saying  (  with  Mike  )  you  have  to  load  the   images   onto  the   web  to  a   3 rd   parties   site  to    upload   onto   AJ `s  site  .......has   something   changed   as   I  did   not   do  this   before  .

The  reason  why  I  ask    is  that   I  have  some   photos   of   Bow ,  but  they  are   really   only   for    your   own  private   consumption  as   you  are   so   close  to  her  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  .  I  don`t  want    all  the  other  guys   to   see   her   love  for  you  as  they  may  get  jealous etc  etc   and  if  this   relationship   leads  to   wedding  bells  etc   I  would   like  to    be  there  .  She   did   pose   for  me   but  her  body   language   suggests  its   you   who  she  really   wants  to   see   them   as   you   are   nigh  on  "  man  and   wife  "   after  your   whirlwind   romance  with  her  in  October  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes   .  I  have  never   mentioned  this  before   Jim   but  she  was  talking  about  you   all  the  time  to  me    and     I  think   you  may  have   found   your   other  half  .........   really   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  .

just been reading your last post,ive found same problem,traveling 4 times ayear to pattaya.i found that booking direct with emirates was the best especially for the air miles,you only need to do the trip twice n you get firs
t class check in and you get to use the first class lounge in dubai

airline confusions and picture uploads

Yogi... It looks like after the crisis in LOS, the confusion goes wild, not with the ticket prices only... and it doesn´t really matters if you do your booking online or by visiting a travel agency.
Especially Thai Airways and it´s fellow airlines of "Star Alliance" seem to be unable to give us a proper timetable.

About uploading pictures... Well, as far as I understand, is Jim´s method for using pics as signatures only.
Don´t know why you can´t upload into a topic anymore.
Two days ago, it worked fine when I uploaded my collage of the skydiver into my post "How to reach Anna Jet when all the airports are closed".
But I realised that I had to reduce the size of the JPG attachment first.
Try again... and make sure that your pics are JPG files !

Hi  Blagger  ......firstly   welcome   to   the   forum   (  again  ) ....   yeah,  its   kinda   confusing   booking   airline   tickets   but   it   looks   like   you  have   sussed   out   a   way   of    getting   yourself   into    Emirates     lounges  .......  but   keep  this   quiet   as   you   don`t   want   King   Butterfly    (  Jimmy  mac  )   joining   you  in   there   as   he   will  lower  the    tone   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  .  Four  times   a   year ....can `t   be   bad   mate ........   I  do  hope  that  you  are   only   going  for  the   culture   (  like   me  and  Mike   ) .

Hi yogi, there are a number of ways to do this photo thing... if its just a few pics of bow you want to upload you can do it with the attach photo/file option in the posting screen below the text box, enduring the bb code is on and HTML is off. Or like i said use www.webshots.com and upload all your images onto there, when you have done this as you view the pics in the bottom right hand corner of the screen there will be image codes you can use to link the pics direct to annajets website or paste them into your signiture box on the forum and you can adjust the pic sizes there and then. Nice comments about bow yogi, some people would think you are trying to get a rise out of me  Laughing  Laughing  Never im affraid i am a king butterfly and wont be changing for the next 5 years as im 21 in febuarary and the fun starts then, regardless the fact i have been coming to thailand for the last 3 years haha.....And for the comment about the lounges in dubai im already ahead of you guys as i only fly with emirates i am a member of their skywards sceme and i now am a silver member and get access to the lounges in dubai for free plus the option of upgrades on my next trip to buisness class due to the ammount of airmiles i now have collected Laughing  Surprised  Laughing.... not to mention the extra 13Kg baggage allowence for my flip flops and condoms  Wink
