paranoid postingHi Guys ........ its been nearly a week since my last post , this was down to an heavy work load at work to deal with , plus an heavy heart . Since returning from LOS I have been thinking about a number of things , not just my 8 day blast with my AIRPORT girl , but my overall impact here at A J , and trip reports etc . I am /have been wondering about the content of my posts and on the impact on the wider community , not just the A J forum , but the web also . I am not worried about other like minded guys reading these posts , but people who are just trawling the web looking for something to interest them , its these people who have never been to LOS that worry me . Basically its not that I have done anything wrong here on AJ or in LOS , but its other peoples misinterpretation of what really goes on that scares me .
Okay you may think that I am being loopy / paranoid etc etc , but my doubts are well founded , ask our host PP , he knows all about the fickle nature of internet forums and the people who visit them . I am not worried about what I have done or said , but more about other peoples misguided views on me and other people that take part in long drawn out sarcastic chats . They will look at pictures and read stories about LOS and the next thing you know its splashed all over the media . I have a sensitive job , a job which my employers may not like my involvement in this forum recounting my holidays to everyone and if someone recognises me and reports me to my employers , it would`nt be pleasant for me .
I have decided to tone down my content here at AJ and to reduce the volume of postings that I do , in short I am trying to lower my footprint here at the forum .
Has much as I enjoy it , I have to think about the bigger picture , my job allows me to come to LOS 2 times every year and I don`t want to lose that priviledge.
I have been thinking about this for a while , but part of me says , " hang on a minute " , I am over 40 , I have no kids , I don `t smoke or do drugs and I pay my ladies well for their services and all the ladies I have met tell me that I am a good man . But the fact is the world today is full of MAGGOTS who have boring lives and are just looking for something to do .......... yes its sad , but thats life for you in this day and age .
I know when I have been emailing Mike he says similar things , like I am single etc etc , so why worry about something that you have no control of ............... THATS THE PROBLEM , ITS SOMETHING THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL OF .
I sometimes think that it is just me worrying about this , but judging by the the handful of forum members who have posted their pics ( avatars ) , maybe other people have similar reservations about this ............ please feel free to comment .

Yogi, I feel for your dilemma - but I doubt you are in a very deep hole. The tried expression "keep your head down" is probably applicable here.
Your most serious direct failure has been misuse of your employers time - something that would generally be justification for a warning, but few employers could really go at you - how many other people also use the net? What systems do you, Mr Employer, utilise to monitor net usage? What guidelines are available for staff? blah blah.
I think I raised the expression of shouting across a crowded room some time ago. I think it is still sound advice.
I personally have another layer of constraint ..... I use my name! On a number of forums I am PeterP but on others I am actually Peter Phillips or something very close. I find being identified with my own name a very powerful discipline. There have been a number of occasions when this has stopped me saying something on a forum. On reflection, normally the next day, I'm always pleased I held back.
Once you and Jim had absorbed some sensitivity (back in the early early days) - I think there has been little that you should feel embarrassed about - but yes, sometimes the old moniker of "think, aim, and shoot " has got mixed up into " aim, shoot, think" or even "shoot, aim, think"!

Although I have nothing to hide and mates/some work colleagues know of my Thai expoilts, why give people potentially the ammunition if it worries you ?

Never post here while you are at work.
I never do so, even when I do some work in our office.
I don´t even check my e-mails at work...
Like KP, I´ve told some of my mates and work colleagues a little bit... and I even gave them the link to AJ´s website.
But they never went far on the site, because none of them knows enough English to surf all sections.
I´m sure that not even my bosses know enough to find my annoying pics and posts...
The advantage of living in Krautland... eh !?

Seems like alittle bit too much paranoia creeping in with the thought of loosing your chances to visit LOS. I personally post on here in work mostly because luckily, my company has very relaxed views on internet usuage as long as it's not for viewing or downloading porn ect, many of my work m8's post on football forums, car and music forums without any problems from management, but personally i think ive found the best forum to post on  .
like other people said yogi just keep a low profile your user name dosnt reflect your real name and now you have taken your avitar off im sure your safe m8.

The reasons why I never post while I´m at work has nothing to do with paranoia... I just use to do private stuff at home only... never at my workplace, where I have other things to do.

world a small placehi folks kennyboy here we all need to comunicate at the level that is expected in any situation that others are able to read. pattaya is like no otherr place in the world so people who have not visited. will never grasp any or most of the aspects of this land of healing. in the years i have been most of what thailand has too offer is a part of soul searching from the person travelling ..... the way the individual behaves whilst in the madness that is pattaya is part of the true individuals character . having experienced almost 20 times. i know the good the bad and ugly side but i do say without a shadow of doubt . i have felt safer and enthrauled by the company i have met in my travel thai people falang and many of the worlds travelers have great times in thailand and will continue to do this for many years to come . one question i would put to the people who judge without knowlege take a look at the smiling staff in anna jets peter and anna have a staff who are happy and have a love of the owners and respect of most the people who visit...... life is a difficult journey but again as i say different culture have different outlooks on what we may percieve to be. again the girls who work in annas would not be thier if they were not happy. as for all the people ive met rest easy you are ok by me.

That´s a good point, Kennyboy.
The girls at AJ´s love to work there... That´s what many of them told me, not only after I had barfined them and they felt the need to please me, the customer.
I know many of them I never barfined and probably will never do so... but made some friendship and use to chat with them when I´m in the bar, or even outside when I meet them coincidally on the street.
They all say the same... and I have the feeling that they mean it so.
How else could one explain the simple fact that so many of them who worked at AJ´s some years ago, use to come back for a visit on festival days or to start working there again !?
But that´s the unbelievable part for those Farangs, who know Pattaya only from reports in TV.
I always use to say that all the prejudices one might have are true in Pattaya... but it always depends on what you, the Farang, bring with you. Or better: ...it depends on what you are after.
The medias are only reporting the bad things... and I would be the last person who would deny those things.
In some other bars, the girls might be not so happy like the AJ girls.
Bad things happen overthere... like everywhere in the world.
Unfortunately people are not willing to see the good things...
But we don´t need to explain ourselves to them, because we know for ourselves that we never did anything wrong whilst being on holidays in Pattaya.
So, I don´t write my comments into Yogi´s thread here because of being worried about what others ( ...who had never been to Pattaya, but stumbled over AJ´s site in the web ) may think of me/us... but I post here to protect the board from getting banned by jealous, ignorant and stubborn self-appointed moralisers in the web.
The protection can only be done by being polite in all our posts and always remembering that we are shouting over a crowded room.
Let´s have fun... always and against all the moralisers´misgivings, by not giving them any reason to complain anything.

Hi Guys n Gals ........As some of you will have gathered this is my first post in a while ( reasons stated above by Mike ) . I was on the forum a few days ago and thought that it might be time to chip in with a few comments .
1. Banksy sr , ( heyyup ) don`t be discouraged because nobody replied to your post , afterall you gat a reply off Blagger within eight hours , forum members live on other continents and we all unfortunately have to sleep and work ...even Mike ( in a cupboard , apparently !!!  ) .
2. Sharonxxx .... (Hi there ) , well it seems like a simple request for info turns everybody into grumpy old men ( yeah I am over Forty Mike ) . I thought about the info that sharon volunteered and I thought to myself , does it really matter if sharon is genuine or just a troll trying to rattle people , after much thought I came to the decision ............... what the hell and had another beer ............ life is too short to be arguing and falling out over petty issues . In my own mind I don`t care , I am not interested , if she wants factual info , peter and the rest of the forum members will I am sure chip in and help her out ...............WHY NOT !!! . sharon says she is a lesbian  .................. so ......wow wee , it did`nt even raise an eyebrow .......... like I said I am not interested if somebody is gay , lesbian , black , asian , catholic , muslim .etc etc I don`t have time for it . All I can say sharon is , go to Thailand have a blast , cos thats what the rest of the forum members will do ....... ENJOY !!!!!!!!!!!!! .
3. is it possible to have some sort of diary on the forum , so that members can jot down when there trip starts / finishes.
I will post more regularly probably in October ......... its colder and quieter for me then ............ plans to go to Pattaya in November are`nt 100 % yet , but looking to book for next year in the next month or so if it becomes obvious that I cannot travel in November .
4 . an idea for your bucket list banksy sr , like blagger says , goes fishing , get your rod out and reel something in !!!  ... like your son !!!! .
5 sharon ......... if you go to Pattaya in September , go to soi lk metro and go to the " devils den " ......its recommended, and the girls are fully bisexual .....sweet eh !!!  .
thats my cue to go , talk later .

yogi glad see your back and no i am not going to lose my faith in the forum
i will multitask between this forum and facebook especially when some of my friends on here are not on facebook my son hey who said i didnt as for peoples trips when it starts and finishes good idea its a bit like the one on ukbkk they have a calender so you jot down when you start and when you finish your hils and post when you get chance mate miss you sence of humour

Hi Yogi, good to hear from you again - glad the "Correctness Police" didn't get you!
The pictures are in the bag - need to process and post - give me a few days.
Kenny ..... Casino .... got some lovely new girls .... but I tend to stay with my posse - in fact Tukata, Gop and Tam came to dance for Tat's 16th birthday party. Current crackdown means that Casino is closing early - (sometimes) so the girls are free earlier!
I'll look into the diary idea - probably via the tried and tested method of stealing ideas from UKBBK!

As other people have said glad to see you back yogi and youve pickted a good time to start chippin back in as the boards picking up again.....i suppose people do get alittle occupied with personal life back home its just the way it goes. So you looking at november well maybe you can change it and come decmeber and have a beer with myself if u fancy it? looking to travel 10 or 13th dec and come back early jan about a three week trip, anyone else traveling that time let me know.
