Yogi Where Are Thou ?Looks like Jedi master Yogi has taken his traditional absence from all Thai related internet activities again, like everytime when his next trip is at hand.
So, let us dance and let us sing... `cause this is a sign that Master Yogi will be back in town soon !
I guess, he´ll be back in Pattaya as planned in coming November.

the yedi masterwhens the bear comin oot off hibernation, how is evrybody am fine and dandy getn back to ma old self and thinkin off anna jets and the good times pete your daily postin is fab and the bar seems too be doin well in trying times keep on dancin bud its the club that thinks its a bar.... give ma regards too all the great staff you have past and presant....how is anna after birthday bash well done again with you charity donations....

Hi Mike/guys ............... erm where do I start , firstly my trip is teetering on the brink, as I have issues here ( medical ) . To be honest I am really desperate to go to Patts , as I have had had a bellyfull of work since returning in May , but I have had a suspicion that my employers were trying to kill off Yogi , now I know for sure there is a plot to do me in . I am at the wrong age in life trying to do the work of two men , this has now caught up with me and I am always knackered ..... always , but last week to top it off , I started coughing up blood as well ....... this aint good and yes I am concerned . My back problems were in my mind just a muscular issue and I thought that was over with , but guess what that has flared up again and my breathing problems from earlier in May / june are still wearing me down . At times i struggle to breath , again this was markedly better in the last two months , but guess what ............... yeah that is back again ........ this is unconnected to other issues and I think its just a boring nose / sinus issue .
After having issues with o2 over two pay monthly fones and one mobile broadband contract , I have finally got them to cough up and admit it was their mistake ....... and I am £ 320 wealthier as a result .
My email was not working for about 11 days ( again 02 `s fault and now my email address has had to be changed , this may be just a temporary thing as the contract is up in November ( 3 weeks ) , then I will survey the scene .
Has for Patts , If things pan out I will still be going but unless the breathing issue clears off I will spend more time out in the styx well away from the pollution of Patts . I won`t be going alone as I " know a lovely young thai lady who will take care "  .
Peter , don`t concern yourself with your girls going on their Hols , grant their requests , as I believe ( could be wrong ) Pattaya is chocker with young Ladies looking for a falang for a nite ( or more ) .
Yeah , Kennyboy the bears out of hibernation , but I don`t know for how long , it looks like the board needs me , more than I need the board at the moment as its as slow as a geriatric tortoise .................. BUT THIS MIGHT GET " SOME " OF THE BOARD MEMBERS FIRED UP AND POSTING AGAIN .
Peter , don`t worry about me , but what the hell as happened to our female friend from India , perhaps she has had enough already ?????!!!!!! . WOULD ANYBODY LIKE TO FOLLOW THIS UP , HAS I AM CURIOUS .

About your bad health condition, I can only say that you should get things sorted before you even think of going on travel again.
Remember Kennyboy´s struggle overthere, after he had to face those, in his case, unexpected illness.
In your case, it might be foreseeable that you´ll get more disturbing health problems soon after arrival in Pattaya.

That sounds pretty scary to me !
Got some asthmatic breathing problems when I worked for a few years at an indoor pool back in the 1990ties... I sorted it out by changing my workplace.
I never smoke more than 10 cigarettes a week... completely different from my smoking habits whilst hanging around in bars when I´m on holidays.
Right now I´m suffering from some sort of burn-out, caused by my job.
It´s affecting my health condition already... and it gives me much to think about my lifestyle.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my boss to discuss various issues... my next year´s holiday plans included.
I don´t think much of my next trip to LOS at the moment... but will make my decision before Christmas time.
This year, things are different for me... because of many reasons.
About sharonxxx ( the Indian lady you mentioned here ) I can only guess, that we stupid twats managed it to scare her away from AJ forum, by using our cynic attitudes towards life.
It´s a shame... and I wouldn´t be surprised if PeterP and Anna would be a little bit angry with us, because of our harsh comments on sharonxxx´s posts.
I sometimes think that my personal method of reading and re-editing every single text I write before I post them to the forum is definitely the best way to do it, even I failed this time in sharonxxx´s case.
But I do so, because English is not my mother tongue...
Dunno how English native speakers do it... and I don´t know if I would use this method or not whilst posting on a German forum, because I never posted anything in German, beside a quick request for informations on a German IT forum to solve a PC problem.
Well, that´s just my opinion... but I´m just a Kraut !

Hi Banksy sr ......... I have always had an aversion to social networking sites and nothing will really change my mind on this , as only recently one individual left company confidential material on his page for the whole world to view . Unfortunately for him , his lax judgement will now cost him his job .................... although this is bad news for him , its good news for the rest of the muppets that I work with ( myself included ).......as he is a D%*& .
THIS IS A TRUE STORY ....... the perils of writing the wrong things on a open forum .

But I must agree with you about social networks: It´s a nice idea... but I really don´t have time to view and join everything the others do on Facebook.

Hi Mike , yes I did receive your invite , along with Kennyboys also , but social networking sites are`nt really my scene . I have also receive an handful from colleagues within my company , but I have avoided so far the clamour to join up .
I am curious to see at work what the repercusssions are going to be for the rest of us , as management are`nt best pleased right now , this is only to be expected as their views are really conservative and are ultra politically correct . It is quite scary at times when I see how they try to manage every facet of our lives and this as now extended to monitoring us away from work , in cyber space . This will probably explain to many of you why I am more low key now , as all it takes is the wrong comment to the wrong person at the wrong time ................... YOU WILL ALL SEE WHY I YEARN FOR THE FREEDOM OF THAILAND . I must admit I did not see it coming at first , but bit by bit their hand was revealed and now I must be careful .
I do not have a job dealing with the military or anything like that , but the way in which we are treated and what I have said previously would give many people that impression .
I sometimes wonder what they would say about Jimmy macs soi , SOI 6 , they would be some serious tut tutting and finger wagging going on . the joys of working for a paranaoid company .........and now you all are a little bit wiser !!!.

I must confess that most of the stuff at social network sites is also not my cup of tea, even I tried a lot since I have registered at Facebook.
Most of the stuff, I checked out when I was bored...
But I prefer to do something more useful with the internet.
Things I love to do are all about keeping in touch with friends and doing some photo sharing.
The possibilies for those things we have on Facebook are just great... everything else is just a waste of time and doesn´t helps me much in my daily seek for informations and communication.
I still see the web as a big library where I search for specific things I´m interested in.
I don´t like online computer games or senseless web surfing with no special aim... and I´m really not interested in making friendship with complete strangers I never met in real life, or never had any other form of correspondence before.
I use to ignore friend requests like "Hi ! I read your profile and want to be your friend !"
And it doesn´t matters how cute the girl who sent the message looks like.
I always need a reference to the person that contacts me... and the minimum of a reference I need is a correspondence on a forum of my interest, such as UKBKK or AJ´s.
But in your case, Yogi... after reading your reply here, I began to wonder if there is no freedom of speech anymore on MonkeyIsland !
Looks like your employer tries to take full control of your life, even of your private interests.
Can´t you do what you want on your days off ?
Hmmm... I must admit that I never use a computer at my workplace to visit Thai related sites.
And... maybe I wouldn´t post my pic and my trip reports to any German forum.
But, as I said before, the simple fact that I live in Germany and that my employer wouldn´t search for me on English websites gives me some security.
Even my workmates and my employer know that I use to travel to Thailand, the probability that they get the idea to type the keywords "Anna Jet", UKBKK or even "MekongMike" on search for me in the web, is a million to one.
Anyway... Yogi-san... I hope you´ll keep in touch with us... against the phantom menace of the dark lords at work.

Hi Mike , firstly to answer your question , No I am not in Pattaya yet . I have been quiet for the last two weeks as I have been under the cosh at work , as they make one last concerted attempt to kill me off , so that I am unable to go anywhere , apart from hospital . I knew that there was no chance to post , especially from last friday until tonight , but it should literally be downhill from here .
In light of recent developments in Thailand , all I can say is Mike , that shortly I will be boarding an Aircraft , which may or may not be landing at BKK . If it does I may or may not be travelling to Pattaya , but if I do I may or may not be drinking alcoholic beverages etc etc ................... sorry I cannot be more specific than that .......... I have to generalise.
IF I DO GO TO THAILAND AND I DO GO PATTAYA , I WILL PROBABLY FEASTING ON ALL THAT IS GOOD ABOUT THAILAND ............................ITS CULTURE , OBVIOUSLY .

Hi Mike ............... HAHAHAHA ........ nice one , your talents are just wasted there in Germany , you need to be here on " monkey island " .
But lets get serious now ( yeah , for a change ) I sense that Thailand is going through a transformation right now and that change is making them all nervous . You know as well as I do what issues there are in Thailand right now ( not going to name them ) , my concern is this , what effect it will have on forign investors ( tourism also ) as nobody likes to invest in a country where there is so much tension , so much un ease . I suppose only time will tell in which direction the Thais go , but that is there choice , not mine . In the mean time I wonder if all the issues surrounding Thailand , will make people think twice about choosing it as a place to invest / holiday .
I am not worried yet about the state of affairs , but I am not going to plan too far ahead just yet .
Within Pattaya itself there are police raids trying to enforce drinking hours / sordid behaviour ................... I just hope that they don`t push this too far other wise it will worry foreigners and they may vote with there feet ..................... and stay away and maybe travel to the PHILLIPINES . you never know .
