Hi All ,
firstly thanks for the words of wisdom ( mike and peter ),
but my situation as improved considerably since my last email over a week ago . I have returned to work today for the first time since june 18 th ( light duties only ) and my enthusiasm as picked up , this is due to medication unfortunately . I have made no plans apart from the flight but I am ramping up my preperations and all being well I will be travelling to Pattaya in November . My major concern is the one which you highlighted Peter ( lousy pavements etc ) but to be honest I don`t do much walking in Pattaya and I tend to use baht buses or motor bike taxis ( like everybody else ) . I am now trying to sort out travel insurance and get my documentation sorted and I should be okay for March also ( still to book yet ) .
I am looking forward to seeing the new ANNA JETS now that the cheque book as been out and I am looking forward to renewing friendships that I have made on previous visits ......
and mike I am not just talking about Bow Laughing

but I don`t wanna say too much about her or jimmy " under the thumb " mac will start enquiring Laughing

!!!!!!! . I am also getting myself ready for some intense massages as previous aches have been taken away using this method and Jimmy I am talking here about " thai massage " not the ones that you go to at the top end of second road Laughing

Anyway Jimmy how did your trip go down ......fantastic I bet and I am glad your buddies enjoyed themselves and all you have to do now is to start saving for your next jaunt .......make it in March and you can show me all the places where you " got lucky " . I must admit that I am really bitter about missing out on a trip up country as I like a change of pace away from the beer and women in pattaya .
All being well Peter , I will see you in November ......... can`t wait for 20 days in the sunshine .

Hi Peter ............... what a guy you are !!!!!! , how I laughed at your last email ......tight bastard indeed !!!! . You are right about the November quip but I thought that I had told you previously I will be arriving on the 16 th of November .
I will find a taxi at the airport , failing that I will just use shanks pony so I will see you in December ( maybe ) .
I am surprised about Monty though , as I was under the impression that Monty was like Mike , fussy and myself who only come to Thailand for the culture .............. unless there are two Montys of course . After a few more trips to Pattaya I will be a sex tourist like Jim andf his mates .............. and I thought that he was a respectable young man who loved thai food ............... I WAS SO WRONG ABOUT HIM Laughing

I am intrigued about soi Lengkee as it is just up the road from where I doss down everynight ....... might have to pay them a visit and check it out ..............it must be good if Monty uses it .
I am only planning at the moment one trip up country this time and that is to Bangkok for a few days .............. more culture I am afraid guys : Laughing

Yogi, glad to see your on the mend and taking the trip. You’ll be unfortunate to run (sorry hobble) into me as I’ll be there till the 19th.

As for taxi’s I read on another board today that they are charging 1400 + tolls + 50 baht airport tax at the swamp. (rip off)

Your met by the driver with a board with your name on (sometimes they even spell it right) then he takes your luggage to the motor nice and smooth after 12 hrs in a flying tube.

But this time I’m giving Pattaya limo a go as I’m going to BKK for 2 nights before I hit Pattaya. So will be ringing them once in country to book

Hey Yogi, I´m glad to read here that you are fit to go on travel again.
Have a nice holiday overthere, and don´t do what I wouldn´t ! Very Happy

Looks like almost everybody I know from my activities at UKBKK and AJ Forum was or is in Thailand during the past two months... but not me !
Too bad... I can´t go on travel right now... but was overthere in November 07.
Was the wrong year for a November trip... eh !?
But well... it´s o.k. like it is, because I will have my one month in Thailand in coming March and a trip to India in October or November 09.
So, for me the sky is the limit... the future is wide open... or however you say in English.
I´m looking forward to meet some of you fine lads overthere at AJ´s... in March or in near or far future.

Now, go and hit the ground running,- have fun, but play safe... don´t forget the culture and post some trip reports, in the name of research !

hi everyone

glad to hear you will soon be in pattaya yogi, makes me alittle jelous because im stuck here for the next few months but thats what its all about, its a holiday destination not where your breads buttered as we say. No trust me the massage girls take very good care of you up at the top end of the second road near soi 6( i had 2 me this trip just gone and it was 1900 baht well spent). Also this dr bow "under the thumb" comment lol whats it all about i mean please... jimmy mac the king butterfly under the thumb ??? Surprised

.... Saying that the girls are starting to steer clear of me in some of my local beer bars because i bullshit apperently and take many ladies from the same bar???? maybe its time to change my ways or find some new bars Evil or Very Mad

(of course AJ is my local) just bars on soi 8. Yes i did get bow this trip and she took real good care of me i.e going to the pharmacy at daft o,clock in the morn and getting me a thai plug and small screwdriver of all things DONT ASK lol.

but yeah have a good time and like mike said post sum pics on a trip report and post here.

As you can see Jimmy, Dr Bow is under Krautish protection... as same as Noi2, Nui, Ta, Noi2 again and... several others ! Very Happy

About changing your ways or the bars:
Don´t change anything as long as you don´t hurt anybody.
Your ways will change anyway in the years that come.
Once I was more foolish than you... but in a completely different way and even I was older than you already.
Learning by doing is the best way.

Hi guys ......... this is just a quickie before I depart for the airport in about 90 minutes .
Thanks for the amusing posts Mike / Jim but I only go to Thailand for the culture ( like you Mike ) and I am afraid Jim being the King butterfly of Pattaya would`nt understand that people actually go to Pattaya for the culture , not the sleazy stuff that Jim is into Laughing

. I will be having words with Bow also and I will put her right on the both of you .......lets see now .... oh yes , Mike and Jim are bad men ...... but I am really nice , I am a good man Rolling Eyes

Jim you talked about doing other bars on soi 8 ...... I go to see Fon at the golden time bar ( near the bottom of soi 8 ) as she also visits AJ`s .......just for a change of pace and scenery !!! .
My foot as been giving me problems all week , but its too late to back out as I am waiting for the taxi now , but I only finished getting organised last night at 22.50 .
I will be checking in on the website while I am down in Pattaya , so if you need me to pass any messages on .....just post it and I will endeavour to see it through .
Jim ........can you tell me where those really cheap/nasty and sleazy bars are where you go as I would just like to broaden my horizons on this trip ........you know Jim where the girls will do absolutely anything ........ i am sure the rest of the guys would appreciate some meaningful info on this , as you are after all " THE KING BUTTERFLY " .......and as Mike says Bows " lapdog " Laughing
