hi yogi,just remembered 1 of the girls was talking about ,what used to be the prince hotel on soi 8 above the bar complex,pool area looks good and they say the rooms are nice,not sure of the name now or the price but im sure peter could find out for you,another is the sunbeam at top of soi 8 a bit more expensive but sun goes off pool at around 2.30 no good when u have a late night,plus they charge u for a guest ,no good when wife goes to pay the bill lol,u have to do some very quick thinking

hi yogi thers allways sawasdee sea view soi 10 i stayed for 3 night not bad but dont no about guest charge never took one back Crying or Very sad

Hi Blagger n Banksy sr thanks for the hotel info , I have`nt been down soi 8 ( bottom half ) in probably 18 months as I was mugged by a bar girl in CHERRY BAR , she got cute with my bill and slipped a few extras in ......but I was making eye to eye contact with her at the same time . I am basicallt trying to get away from the same, same area all the time and I am wanting somewhere close to the action , but half decent and around 25 setang a night ( bar fine inclusive ) Laughing

:lol .

p.s I will check out these places on the web . Peter has told me that the sawasdee group are big on discounting in Pattaya .

yeah yogi i hear what your saying about ending up in the same same areas all the time i guess we are just creatures of habit aint we, well i know i am when it comes to soi 6 Twisted Evil

. The sawasdee group are very big both in bkk and pattaya the hotel on soi buckhow is a reasonable hotel at good price including breakfast.

Hi Jimmy ...... I am at home now typing this but I cannot help but feel that i need to change something about my next trip to Thailand . I am getting rather bored of the same hotels , same bars etc , so I am now looking for something closer to the beach and walking street . I may also look at the soi Boukhaua area , as I feel too many people know me and take me for granted in my old haunts and that way it will spice up the rest of the holiday , I have even thought about Naklua and Jomtien ....... but I am not worried as I have my flight paid for already and if the worst happens I can doss down on the beach or gutter ....UPTO ME .. RIGHT !!!

Yogi the soi Buakhao area and soi LK Metro are good places to stay can recommend a few places around there if you want. As for going to the same places feeling yes you do have to make a conscious decision sometimes to mix it up. Also taking a break from Pattaya and going on a visit somewhere else can be nice and in my case essential after 7-10 days in the mad house that is Pattaya . Cool

Doing a couple of days in phuket will help you out very nice beaches all
the honeys on one block

Ban Chang would be nice to if did not want to fly anymore never been but heard good things from guys that do the FLB bar crawl there.

Not to sure about ban chang as a “getaway” from Pattaya , from what I’ve read on the FLB board it’s a bit like soi 6 but with less bars and ladies!

Koh Chang on the other hand is great getaway nice seafood and beaches admittedly the nightlife is not even a patch on even soi LK but as a relaxing timeout I loved my visit there. Easy to arrange mini bus door to door and despite being told “all the girls are dogs” “take your own" etc I managed OK with this “tour and entertainment officer” for 4 days;
