hi folks staying in bangkok july 26 for one night on arrival from england 3 of us before we move on to aj  can anyone suggest a good place to stay near khaosan Rd or in it thanks  ps will be early morning though 7.30 am

Banksy, these are cheap and cheerful I don’t have to much experience of the kho san area (to many crusties for me) but they are OK on there other hotels, but you get what you pay for so for 5-600thb your not going to get the Oriental.

Banksy, Sawasdee are a good, reliable group - but they also run a bookings service - R24 - click other accommodation on the AJ Home Page will take you to R24.
However, do I understand that you land early morning and just want somewhere to crash before getting up to come down here? If so, don't bother, come straight down - our cashiers are normally working 'till 4-5am anyway. If we know you are on your way, one will just stay up 'till you arrive!

montydog and peter thanks lads for the links peter thanks for the offer but ive got a newbie with me and he always wanted see khasoan rd and im taking him and my son patpong. Will be arriving yours on the 27th between 9/10 am if thats ok. thanks

I'm not very keen on the farang bar/go-go scene in Bangkok - but practically the last place I would ever want to be is Patpong!
It's hassle all the way - all the Go-Gos have their doors wide open to show that they have no nudity and the King Group (who own 80% of the Go Gos ensure that their girls winge endlessly for drinks.
Avoid Nana as well.
I would suggest Soi Cowboy (Sukumvit Soi 23), some bars but mainly Go Go's. Lots of flesh on show (especially after 10pm) - doors are definitely closed! And some very pretty girls!
But ..... up to you!

im with you both peter and banksy with the soi cowboy idea its my favorate place to visit for a honey in bkk with some nice gogo's. Just the drink prices in bkk over the past few years has rocketed so if you havent been in a while banksy expect a shock m8. About the places to stay in bkk theres a hotel on kaowsan road called kaowsan place its 1200 a night and is a nice 4 star hotel with a pool on the roof.

hi folks peter firstly glad the peops enjoyed darren styles skydivin
bringing some fresh tunes with me from england if thats ok mainly at the
moment trying talk the new be out of going bangkok so i can come straight there should arrive at bkk at 0640 whats the chances of you sorting a taxi for us there mate and at what cost or as anyone else got any ideas  thanks ps peter can you email me your phone number in case i need get in touch mate thanks you know bangkok sameo sameo
