Hi Peter ,
I`ve had an idea .......... probably the greatest idea ever,
okay ....so thats a tad O.T.T ........I thought after loading my images onto my laptop that I had some half decent pictures from my jaunt to A.J . I thought that maybe you should have a seperate folder where you can showcase forum members pictures as an alternative to your own . Sometimes Peter walking around all night with the video camera or still camera can be quite fruitless , but whilst you are drinking and chatting to your customers there are always other people on site taking pictures , perhaps you could review these photos and do a seperate gallery for this work .........it would afterall be coming from a completely different source and maybe your customers who look over your website my enjoy seeing some of there handywork on the web ........ just a thought .
regards Yogi

Yo Yogi, It was good meeting up with you in Patters all those moons ago it seems like. Myself and Monty did just what you are saying and Peter did a gallery back in Nov 2006. We just let the girls loose with our cameras
They do bolt ons to these type of forums were members can put thier own pictures up of the exploits But to some of us these boards are an hobby and any additional moderation and anti spamming tools needed do not warrant it. Have you tried adding a picture to this forum?
All the best

you can post pictures as a signiture, but it would be difficult to load a full set, or you could email pete the photos and maybe he could make a album for you through the program he uses?

Jimmy, I think you need to close the image tag on your post - and then the picture will show.
There are a number of ways we can do this:
1) As Jim says, send them to me. Use just about any Photo Editor and resave as 70% compression size max 800 pixels per side. Send them to peterhyphenphillipsatrunboxdotcom (work it out). We do actually have a page of readers pictures but I'm in such trouble with the web site that I have forgotten how to add pictures easily!
2) Post them anywhere on the net and then use the Img button on the Compose page to reference the url of the file. These services are generally free (with space limits). Flickr is probably the best - but you might want to try Google's Picassa. It's free http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html?hl=en&gl=us and does a lot of correction tasks and will do the e-mailling for you or you can load to Picassa on line. Actually, Google have a fantastic free collection - so have a look anyway.
3)I could set up a gallery for you. As Fussy says - it's a bit of a pain and would take quite a long time.
I'm on a serious crusade to get back control over the web site - it's so old and was developed on at least 3 different software packages - so I can't understand how it's constructed! Tables, CSS, JavaScript and all sorts of other shit. So the project is to get it all sorted out (learning Dreamweaver again in the process - and now Adobe have a new beta for Dreamweaver). Go to PHP/MySQL to be able to offer on-line availability data and bookings, Q and A, mailing lists and anything else you guys think of (including a gallery?). For that I've got to teach myself how to handle PHP/MySQL - so don't hold your breath!

Yo Peter,
Just trawled around, when you do take this forum into your own domain and have php on your server you can bridge a gallery called coppermine onto it, people can view, you can restrict view with all the moderation settings that you have on the user interface in the admin panel, you can also leave comments about peoples pics.
best thing...its free

Hi Peter ........I know probably much has`nt change since I originally posted this , but I was wondering since we now have a trip report section ( although nobody has officially posted here just yet ) and Jimmy says he wants to see pics of Mike and Kennyboys mongering would`nt it be appropriate now to be able to have a seperate gallery . To be able to read a post and look at the pics at the same time would look good ............. but is the situation still the same ............. just a thought Peter .
